Varsity Jacket
The Varsity Jacket is about as American as apple pie. The style originated in the mid-1800s as the lettered sweater worn by college baseball teams and evolved over the following century into the wool jacket that is worn by athletes and fashionistas today! We have developed our own varsity jacket based on a vintage one that we fell in love with. Our version has wool sleeves vs. leather sleeves, cotton poplin liner vs. polyester, and an oversized Byron collar vs. the common standup collar. Coming in at over 3lbs, this is a true wintertime jacket. Many of the details are consistent with the Varsity Cardigan such as the colorways, chenille patches, and contrast ribbing. Like the rest of our varsity collection, we have spent the past 18 months perfecting the fit, feel, and details of the Varsity Jacket and it's truly the most flattering jacket we have ever worn.
